Embroidered Polos

Please follow these guidelines to ensure successful embroidery results and avoid potential rejections.

File Requirements:

• Submit embroidery graphics as raster graphics (PNG) with a resolution of at least 300 DPI.
• Do not include photographic images, gradients, fade, or blend effects, as they cannot be embroidered.
• Graphics should include transparent backgrounds.
• If the graphic covers a large part of the embroidery area, it may exceed the maximum limit of 15,000 stitches.

Stitch Area:

• 4″ Wide x 4″ Tall
• Minimum thickness for shapes: 0.05″ (1.3 mm)
• Minimum height for lowercase letters: 0.25″ (6.4 mm)
• Minimum height for uppercase letters: 0.3″ (7.6 mm)
• Text smaller than 0.25″ (6.4 mm) in height will be a run stitch

Design Requirements:

• Clean designs with bold lines and text work best for embroidery.
• Avoid complex designs with gradients or intricate details, as they may be rejected.

Common Reasons for Rejection:

1. Text is too small or lines are too thin:

• Keep text at least 0.25″ in height and 0.05″ thick.
• Use simple fonts like Arial, Helvetica, and Myriad Pro.

2. Text Cut-Outs or Negative Spaces:

• Avoid sending images with small details or text in negative space. Fill negative space with a solid color.

3. Gradients:

• Convert gradients into one-color graphics. Split multiple-color gradients into solid colors.

4. Photographic Images:

• Photographic images cannot be embroidered. Recreate them with solid shapes and colors.

5. Too Much Detail:

• Clean designs with shapes, bold lines, and text work best. Avoid excessive detail.

6. Thin Border Lines:

• Avoid using thin borders around text or graphics, as they can cause misalignment.
